Preferential placement of fins i.e. 4, 8 and 12 in different vaporization zones ensure maximization of vaporizer capacity, at the same time use aluminium mass at the right place, reduce defrost cycle time and enhance super heating.

CRYOGAS provides inter-connecting piping between vaporizer banks along with PRS (Pressure Reduction Station) and vaporizer auto switching system.

Generally auto switching is coupled with the PLC system with outlet temperature over-rider. Switch-over is activated at predefined intervals or if the outlet temperature drops below the set point on temperature transmitter.

LNG is popularly used to meet temporary, remote & peak shaving demand of Natural Gas at Industrial & Municipal Corporation sites.  CRYOGAS over the last 20 years has supplied many Units for such applications.  These Units are available for low pressure, medium pressure and high pressure applications.  Most popularly Cryogenic Tankers & ISO containers are connected to Framed Mobile LNG Vaporizers for above applications.

For off-shore application, DNV qualified frames are recommended.

Product Details:

CRYOGAS provides LNG Tank Pressure Building Coils with a variety of flow rates, configuration and manifold modulation. These Units are utilized to re-gasify certain volume of LNG from the storage tank and re-gasified LNG using latent heat of vaporization is put back on the top in order to maintain pressure on the top of cryogenic storage tank, transportation tankers and semi-trailers to enable discharge of cryogenic liquid at required flow rate and pressure.

To obtain exponentially higher flow rate on limited footprints, while utilizing the heating energy available in Ambient Air, CRYOGAS provides fan on top of the Ambient LNG vaporizers.  Typically, this doubles the throughput of LNG from same footprint.  As air is forced upon the Fins, very little Frost / Ice accumulation takes place, which reduces defrost cycle and improves ability for frequent switching of LNG Fan Forced Units.

Equalised distribution of cryogenic liquid into different LNG Vaporizer units in a bank is extremely important to avoid preferential flow of cryogenic liquid and eliminating the possibility of preferential short pass.  This also helps utilize full capacity of LNG Vaporizers and ensures modular LNG vaporization at all times.

Accurate manifolding within the vaporizer for utilization of entire vaporization circuit to avoid preferential flow, control the pressure drop and optimize fin configuration is real strength of CRYOGAS LNG Vaporizers.

CRYOGAS offers steam-heated vaporizers for LNG:

Steam heated water bath vaporizers (indirect heating)

• Vaporizers are equipped with steam governor and manual by-pass valves. Condensation is normally gravity-drained into a sump, but on request Cryogas can also offer condensation recovery system. The steam heated water bath vaporizer is a typical vaporizer for higher flows, it consists of a full stainless steel vessel with vaporizer coil submerged in the water. Water to be heated by means of steam injection, for such steam injectors are placed in the bottom part of the vessel in order to minimize noise.
• On request, a second coil for pressure building can be installed in the water bath.
• Extermely competitive where excess steam is available as by product or at a good price.  

 

Steam heated vaporizer (direct heating)

• The direct steam heated vaporiser has no intermediate heating medium, steam is injected straight onto the tube bundle in which the gas will be vaporised. With this design, high flows can be obtained with small footprints. As such this type is mostly used for mobile applications for the purging of pipe lines, tanks, etc.
